Brad was in front of me when we were cruising to Cadillac. He had said that he sprung an exhaust leak and that he was gonna pull over in Cadillac so we could check it out. It was 13 miles to Cadillac. So we're cruising about 55mph and his external wastegate falls off his downpipe and skips up like a bouncy ball right in front of me and off to the side of the road. I thought that it was just a piece of crumpled paper but ohhhhh no, it was the wastegate. He pulled off then we took my car to go retreive it. It was battle scarred a little but seemed like it would still work. I didn't have any bolts in my car and neither did he so we drove all 90 miles back to G raps with his car sounding like he was running open headers.. :banghead: quite loud.

Anyway, thanks for the fun time. The weather sure did put a damper on things though. :(

I believe it. I was in the car when it happened. All I can hear out of my right ear right now is this low rumbling noise. :thumbdown:

We knew something wasnt right when he got an SES light on the bridge. We figured it was a tiny exhaust leak because his car seemed kind of loud. Then just before we turned onto 55 from 127 it got louder. Then finally just before Lake City the damn wastegate fell off. Add that to the list of things to fix.

Even though the weather didnt cooperate with us AT ALL, I still had a good time. I got some good pics of the GM exhibit that I'll post later. We even got to hear and see the Performance Camaro and Firebird cruise down the strip on the way to the transport vehicles. Didnt get to see any boobies though, kind of dissappointing. However, I now know how to play "asshole" and turns out I'm pretty good at it. Beginners luck I guess. I think its better to suck at that game though, you probably get shitfaced a more/faster that way :lol: One piece of advice for anyone that drinks around Quentin and Dan: Make sure that if you pass out before they do, they cant get to where you are. Brad #1 can attest to that. Pics to come later! :rofl:

Best of all, I got a Michiganspeed.com hoodie and some peanut butter fudge to go along with a few good stories. Cant wait for Woodward!!

Yeah, Brad #1 is gonna love the pictures. I cant wait to see them. Get them to me ASAP! :rofl: We had a uneventful trip home, stopped in Houghton Lake and seen some friends and family. Then just came home. I do have some good news to report, it appears that our little business card in the cars thing worked. I recieved a email from one of the cars. He should be joining us soon. :thumbup:

Yeah, I saw that pic after Q and Dan left.....I was in horror!!! I had a pretty good time up there. the weather sucked as stated earlier. but man I drank alot that saturday night :cheers:


the ride home sucked....it was loud as shit and since my turbo was only running on 3 cylinders I had zero boost. :banghead:
I'm ordering new injectors tonight and I'm calling the guy you last touched my car(including the wastegate) and telling him what happened so I won't need to buy a new wastegate myself.
