There ain't that much money around here. Besides, I wouldn't take a sweet boat to hot boat. Too many drunk idiots up there. My boat came home with salsa (I hope) splatered all down the side, and I had 3 count em 3 cigarette burns in my gel coat. THat and all the drunks trying to "help" me puch my boat out of the traffic to leave while ramming it into every rock on Hardy. It is fun, but I wouldn't take a really sweet boat there unless you are just passin through.

seriously Mike...it's Newaygo, MI. They're not going to be Perfect 10 models. And those are the style of race boat that come to Grand Haven every once in a while. There's a couple tunnel hulls that will show up but they're not powered by anything like what you saw in that other thread.
Plus I'm terrible at remembering to take pictures. I'll try to do a better job this year.
I think I uploaded a couple of nice pics from last year. list by last date modified and scroll down to september 16, 2009(in the quick photo uploader). Nice looking women even if they are in their 30's and 40's

There are plenty of high$$ boats up there...but they hang out up river at the sandbar...they don't tie up in the cove. A few of them will come far enough south to do a burn in front of the party, but most of them stay up river.
Sorry to hear about your experience...if you were over by where there's rocks...you need to get out there earlier and get into the cove. The cove is rock free and deep! Plus Local law enforcemnt makes sure there is a lane of open water so boats can cruise in and out(1 direction on each side) so you wouldn't have to worry about assholes if you needed to leave early for some reason.
Just a tip if you decide to go again ;)
