thankyou
droped my cals down to 1200 - 1300 per day. been eating 5-6 times a day around 200cals each time. i would never eat breckfest. then at lunch pig out. i would always snack and over eat. i was eating around 4000 - 6000 cals ez. and not thinking about how much i was eating. i have been walking a lot on weekends and some on weekdays. working out a little bit.

Sounds similar to what I did except I am not loyal to when I eat and breaking the calories into equal parts. Be careful with the lower calorie intake. I've been told 1200 is the absolute lowest I should ever go and I should really be in the 1500-1800 range. The last month I've made sure to hit 1500 because I hit a plateau that I'm sure was due to my body thinking it was starving.

ok here's my secert. don't tell anyone. two words jenny craig. i know it sounds gay for a guy to be on the jenny craig program. i was going to do the nutra system. but my mother has been on jenny craig for a couple of years now. she lost around 25 lbs and was keep it off. plus she is single so micro food is great her. my wife sheri(who does not to loss any wieght) my cousin lori and myself signed up the 1st of the year. normal old day for me would be eat, snack and eat all day and night. so i went from around 3000 - 5000 cals a day. down to 1500 cals. i do a lot of walking / biking and have been working out a little. i drink almost a gallon of water each. the first week i lost 6 or 7 pounds and avg around 2-4lbs each week. when i get to around 175 lbs i'm going to cut back on the jg food and start cooking my own. smaller portions lots of veggies and most of all watch my intake. and with warmer wheather here i'm out side a lot doing yard work and things like that. the best thing about a program like this is you get on the scale once a week when you pickup your food. and it pissies sheri off how much wieght i have lost. i tell her the scale is our friend now. she hates that line. as many times i have tryed to loss wieght, i'm very surprised how much i have lost also. i don,t even look the same.
sorry to make this so long.

good morning kevin
basic day is 3 meals around 250-300 cals ea. a few snacks. mid morning, afternoon and night time around 100 cals ea. total of 1200 - 1300 cals. the food is pretty good. small portions but when you add a bunch of veggies it fills you up. i was pretty hungry the first coulpe of weeks. we go out to eat a couple of times a week now. i just order lite meals, watch how much i eat and no frys. btw have my birthday and easter last weekend i only lost 1 pound (178lbs). and i walked and rode my bike like mad. but its still a loss. i have been doing situps and pushups the last couple of weeks now.

kevin
they are all small portations. but there is most every thing. b-fest there is cold which i eat 1 cup of corn flakes w/fat free milk. there is pancakes french toast a couple of egg meals. lunch is pizza, turkey burger, bake patato and some mexican dishies. dinners are pizza, meat loaf, turkey, chinese. you add your own veggies and salad. the food is pretty good. i'm sure there would have some type of menu on line. there is also some snacks they have. if i can do it any one can.

i've been reading some threads here in health & fitness. it's good to see people taking control. i've always had a weight problem. since i lost my weight early this year i have kept it off all summer and fall now. i'm still between 168 - 170lbs and have never felt better. i'm off my blood pressure meds that i have been on for 20 years and its lower now then it's ever was been. keep up the good work to all.
