I had today off from work and decided to workout later this afternoon.. One of my friends lifts in the gym I go to in the afternoon I met up with him after we got done lifting he was telling me about the p90x and how well it works he has been doing the ab portion for a few weeks and has seen awsome results from it. The gym has all the dvd's and an area to work for the program. Well I decided to give it a try with him and I have to say it was the hardest ab workout I have ever done. Basically its non-stop for 16 mins. Ill admit I had to take a break halfway through and I can honestly say im gonna be very sore tomorrow! If anyone wants a nice workout I suggest trying it out! He said he was doing the hole program and lost mass from it trimming him up so much so he has just stuck to the ab part. Just thought I would throw it out there if someone wants a workout that doesnt involve weights well you can add weights but its not a must.

I've always heard the abs are a muscle that recover very quickly. With the stuff I've done I'd have to agree. They might burn right when I'm working on 'em and I used to take breaks but I've never had abs be sore the next day or anything. Think I'll pull out my DVDs with the ab work again. I can at least try to work that area while the leg heals.

I usually work abs regardless of what other major muscle group I am doing that day. Your core is where a lot of your strength and stability comes from. Not to mention if you box, do martial arts are just want to be able to defend yourself (or take a punch) the core is VERY important to train!

It looks like a interesting workout from what I see on the infomercial. I have to do more cardio because I still have a little belly and love handles I cant get rid of. I am starting to see some definition in my upper abs and I am getting "toned" but I also am gaining muscle and have only lost 10 lbs. since I started working out.

its definetly a great workout. I have never had anything make me feel like my abs were actually ripping before till I did the p90x ab ripper routine. I am actually down 4lbs now since i started working out and I can definetly see a difference from day one till now. Im a month into my routine. I was hoping for more of a loss of weight but I think Im gaining muscle now and thats the reason for no weight loss. I now have to wear a belt with all my pants..
