how do those big boats ride?
100+ in a 21 foot bass boat isn't fun at all

they ride great up to 60ish, and up to 3 - 4' waves. after that they still bounce you around petty good. if they are setup for big water they will fly level. and they do land pretty good, for running in big water. you get up in the 80mph + and or waves 4 - 5' + and you better hold on. a few years ago my father in law came on a poker run with us. i told my wife sheri he should not go. he made the morning run just fine. but the afternoon run was big water. 5-6'er's to start and 8' by the end. not many boats finished. well about 3 miles in the second leg he was face first on the floor and not very happy with me. he was ready to go back. but when you pay big money to enter a poker run that was not a option. he was pissed and beat up when we finshed. but it is a huge rush.

 Great story

Nothing like 6 foot rollers to turn a novice green in the face either. You guys should have see The Dude a few years back in my boat. We were in 5 to 6 footers and you would have thought we were sinking the way he was stressing. Funny shit :omglol:

A lot of the smoothness on the water depends on both the boat and the driver. I've been 104.3 on the Grand River in a 26' Thorobred, 107 down in Lake of the Ozarks (which is completely OFF THE HOOK!!!) in a 26' American Offshore Cat and 80 on the big lake in another 26' Thorobred in 6-8 footers!!! :jiggy: That was definitely a white knuckle ride.

yeah ive found out that bigger boats deff make a much nicer ride going accross the big lake.. from doing 90 in a 25 foot in 3-4's in a 25 foot boat to doing 90 in a 35 foot nordic is the same waves is so much smoother

running 90 in a 25' boat, in a honest 3-4' waves would be a ride. i think i would need the be running it or a least running the stricks to enjoy that ride. i don,t think the boat would be in the water very much.
come on spring!!

yeah its a little scary but when u trust the person your riding with (he's basically like another father to me) its much easier to enjoy it. and no the boat wasnt in the water a whole lot

Leo is the one who took me for a ride in Lake Michigan in his 26' in 6-8 footers. He was also the pilot of John Lambretzes (spelling) 26' Thorobred on the Grand River. He can definitely pilot a powerboat.

For the longest time, him and a bunch of West Michigan crazy mofo's head to the Ozarks for their annual speed weekend. Most of them usually come back with their class trophy.
