Now I can't tell you how many miles I did, but I have used the treadmill, elipitcal, bike, taken 3 zumba classes (aerobic dance), lifted weights and did an old folks water aerobics class (I was really sore from the day before).

don't worry, no one here will forget
The scale has been set this week...finally it moved down a bit today. FINALLY! Considering I have skipped the gym (including today) 3 days now. Darn cold. I despise being sick. I have been out to shovel twice today, so maybe that will help some:)
Well, it is a new week and I lost another 1.5lb this week. Considering I never made it to the gym (but was busy with this weather bs) I suppose this is fine. I was down another lb and a half this weekend, but drinking on saturday was not helpful. Oh well, down is down and I am down so I guess I am happy. (9 lbs in 3 weeks)

Yeah, in 11 months you'll be down to 0!
well, I am down another 2.5lbs for this week. (it had been lower, but we ate late last night and had a pretty salty meal!) Hoping to get to the gym a bit more this week. I only made it to dance class once and then took the kids swimming yesterday. My routine is completely off with the little ones being home! Luckily the gym has child watch today and tomorrow, so we will head there shortly:)

I vote you do a pic with each weigh in. You know, because I'm a guy and can't visualize what weight loss looks like. lol.

Jambalaya definitely has a lot of sodium, but it sure is gooooood :)
(I think we burned the calories back off sufficiently though) lol

do you mean last night or at the gym this morning...or both?. lol

Dang Heather! Way to go girl!! I need some of your ambition! I will agree with Patrick on the pictures... I don't know how much you were hoping to lose, but you could do like every 5lbs or something like that. A girl I know did that on her MySpace... She would wear the same pair of pants and a bra and every 10lbs she lost, she would take a picture in the mirror bathroom. Looked AMAZING! I think that would add some motivation too. Congrats on what you've done so far! :)
If I was planning on losing alot more I would take progress pictures. I orginally wanted to lose 20 and if it was more like 25 that would be alright too. Anything lower than that and I look ill!!!
The scales sucked today!!! I knew they would though, so I am not too surprised. I ate and drank this week like crazy, quite smoking (again...) and then basically sat in the car the last two days. I feel miserable as well. Oh, well-I am getting back on track today-I have been to the gym, burned 300+ calories :) I may even do the picture thing (after I get cleaned up.lol)

Meh. You have to have some fun. At least that's how I try to look at it :). The important thing is sticking with the routine even though you take a few breaks. And for the record... I could still squash you if I sat on you!

can I watch?? :heyhey:

I doubt that:) You do realize that the guy I am dating weighs a bit more than me, right? lol
Alright, here are the not so flattering photos of me today at 138...I did manage to squeeze into these jeans that I haven't worn in months, so I guess that is progress (it also causes the lovely muffin-top look...which is what I am trying to get rid of.lol)

looking good heather, but just think of this as more motivation, the better you look, the less this picture will bother you
Thanks Dave! These pictures aren't great, but don't get me wrong-I think I look alright for where I am in life. I am a 33 yr old mother of 2 (both naturally birthed and one was BIG baby) My body has been stretched in several directions over the course of time and while I would love to look like I am 19 again, I am realistic. My goal is to fit into the clothes size I have the most of, so I don't have to spend a ton of money on more.lol I want to be strong enough to lift both of my kids up mid-tantrum and carry them off into the sunset without struggling.(and quite possibly I need to be able to carry them both at the same time) So, while a low number on the scale is nice, I honestly have other goals in this:)
I actually had a decent week, only went to the gym 3 times but was able to keep from eating everything in the house. I was down 7.5 as of yesterday, but we had a xmas party last night with free alcohol...scale wasn't as friendly this morning, but not terrible either. I was 132.5 this morning, down 5.5 lbs for the week.

That tops my high weekly loss by a pound. What's your secret?!
I don't know that I have one. I don't eat alot, if I eat 1000 calories a day I would be surprised. I have several meals a day, just not high calorie ones. I still am taking the eca stack a few times a week. (if i take it everyday it makes my heart race too much) I drank a ton of water this week. (and fwiw-this was an incredibly high stress/emotional week for me stupid ex husbands and their drama queen whores...)
131 today. I kept off all the weight I lost last week and lost a 1 and a half. Now to get out of the 130s and into 120's again:)
(and I am attempting to quit smoking again. I am not hungry, so I suppose that is good. I would like to kill everyone that comes into my eye sight...sigh. hope this passes soon)
I am beginning to hate Monday weigh in days! I have been 128 all week, but today-130. Grrr.... Still a pound down from last week I suppose and I did indulge a bit this week (see mike's post for details) But all the junk is out of the house again, so I hope to continue losing...
As of this morning, the scale said 125.5. That's 4.5 lbs down this week and a total of 20.5 lost since dec 1. I orginally thought that is where I wanted to me, but now that I am here, I think another 5 or so lbs should be lost.

Way to go!
This week has been up and down and according to the scale today, I am still at the same weight as last week. (which is fine I suppose) As long as I don't gain more, I am alright:) However, if Mike and I hadn't eaten a ton at 9:30pm I am sure the scale would have been nicer today.lol

How come food has to be so damn yummy?
Update...I haven't lost that 5 lbs yet, but have stayed at 125 all through Feb:) I don't look bad, I don't feel bad and my clothes fit. If the other 5 lbs comes off fine, if not fine.
(i was surprised the scale stayed at the 125 after 30 hours in the car this weekend, but it did!!)

Congrats. Sounds like your metabolism and lifestyle have met a good balance. Especially when you can splurge a bit and still maintain.
Wish me luck! Another week and still at 125 which works I guess. However, yesterday I decided that falling down the stairs carrying my 4 yr old son sounded like fun...my back (and rear end) didn't really agree though. So, I am sore, stiff and not really enjoying all of this. I do beleive I will be spending another day away from the gym:(

well, take it before it heals
So...I have been maintaining my weight for about a month or so-which is fine, I am pretty happy with where I am. I decided this weekend that I was going to quit smoking, so as of 11pm Sunday night I was done. So far-so good, except now I am gaining weight. I know it has only been a couple of days and I don't think I am eating more...it is just frustrating to think that I can be thin and smoke or be fat and not. Grrrr....

It'll take 3-5 days for the nicotine to flush out of your system.
You should start feeling better after that.
Best of luck keep us posted.
