Well, after nearly three years, I finally broke down and bought the stereo stuff for Bad Karma.

Now I realize you are all going to wonder why I picked Pyle stuff to use. And simply put, it is the only supplier that is well priced, sounds good, and is actually made for marine applications. So everything I ordered is water proof, including the amp.

This is what I got

AM/FM-MPX In-Dash Marine CD/MP3 Player Radio w/Full Face Detachable Panel and wired remote to the helm

2 sets of 250 Watts 6.5" 2 Way Marine Component Speaker System with remote tweaters and crossovers. One set in the cabin, one in the cockpit.

1 Waterproof Marine 2000W 6 Channel MOSFET Amplifier

1 Marine Grade 8 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit

2 500 Watts 10" Marine Woofer Speaker System for under the rear seat

1 250 Watts 6.5" 2 Way Marine Speaker System for the cockpit

1 3.2 Farad Dual Link Chopper Capacitor

What cha think, should sound good aye?

Damn, that boat will be bumpin. Gonna have it installed by Hot Boat?

Thats the plan. Hopefully it will arrive this coming week, and I will go out on the water next weekend to install it. For some reason I tend to do stuff like that on the water better. It lets me cool off after crawling around that hot ass cuddy cabin doing wiring. I just have to cut the holes before I leave for the woofers and the new speakers are one size larger so they have to be made bigger. And if you remember, the bottom gunwale is open to the engine bay, now they wont be as I will install a new set of speakers there too.

I don't think the Pyle subs are made for open air applications, going to build a box for them?

Q

Actually Mike, the Marine application ones are in fact setup for open air. I checked because I wanted to use the rear couch storage as the area to mount them. Otherwise I had to put them in the Cuddy, and that wasnt what I wanted.

Got the model number? I was looking to put a single 10" in both the ski boat and our pontoon boat. Bazooka tubes with internal amps are $170+

there's no way my dad would allow me to get new speakers for his boat, especially if any new holes would have to be made. It was bad enough with just the cd player. A boat is on the top 3 things to buy after school and a job/career. can't wait to hear it guy

I hope you're not disappointed with those Pyle products. My buddy Mark's boat had all Pyle stuff in it when he bought it a few years back and he upgraded to 6x9 JBL speakers with a Clarion deck down in the cabin. Just 4 speakers and a 45x4 deck makes a world of difference from the Pyle stuff that was in it, which was also just a deck and 4 speakers.

Nice, all my boat has is a 4 speaker setup from a 2009 Durango and a Pioneer player (the player is the Camaro's actually, but I'm about to give up on the Camaro).

The Pyle stuff cant be worse then the factory original 1988 stuff.

It all showed up today, and I have to say its pretty nice looking if nothing else. Seems to be well built, and I like the look. They even threw in a set of tweaters from Lanzar for the order, no idea what to do with them, but that was cool. Now if I can ever kick this wicked flu I have I would put it all in.

Did you install them yet? Curious as to how they sound as I'm browsing for speakers now for the Nautique.

Its all installed, but first I had a faulty wiring harness on the deck, and now I have a faulty amp as best I can tell. They RMA'd the amp, I just have to wait for it to go and come back now.

If your intersted, I bought a extra set of the 6.5 2 way Pyles thinking I would use them, and I didnt. You can have them for what I paid for them if you want them.

Ooooo, maybe.

Just bought a Cadence SQW-10 sub and SQA-2 amp. Currently I'm the highest bidder on a Kenwood KTS-MP400MR

I know how it goes. Our 2 stall garage turned into 4, our shed had to have 8 foot overhangs, and we had to take over my sisters pole barn...which is almost full :run: I should know in a week or two if I'll take them.
