Pete, I don't think I'll ever fully understand your style... It isn't a bad thing though.

Two seater jet boats like that are actually pretty simple to build. And there are parts all over the place for them. You will find alot of them up at Hardy Dam in the summer. And the Michigan Hotboat guys run alot of them too.

In fact, the first boat I had was purchased from a member who was upgrading to a jet boat

The only bad thing about them is your not going to be playing on anything besides GLASS water, and you cant really do much besides just go fast. Not that, that is a bad thing. Just saying you will be missing out on all the other fun things that owning a boat entails.

my great uncle is a member of michigan hot boats.

he's got 2 running boats and one that he's restoring, the one he's restoring looks like the one in the pictures.

he was telling me he had his buddy in the passanger seat with a GPS and they we're doing 110mph on the water with plenty of pedal left.

We all know Pete and his "dutch" ways.. the only thing we'll see him in is a paddle boat ;)

I got to drive one of those big block supercharged jet boats once, they're scary and very unstable. Kinda like a drag car, I love it.

OR I might go for a jet sprint boat kinda like this: http://www.jamd.com/search?assettype=g&assetid=1114073&text=%2522jet+sprint+boat%2522

OR hide a big block inside a classic Chris Craft:

I love the Chris Craft boats. Always have. Wish I could afford one, but they are big $$

Dang, that'd be sweet! What kind of boat is that? It's not a flatbottom, is it?

Ever see the original Kermath engines some of those old Chris Crafts had? Picture a 6 cylinder engine, with an 8" bore. They wern't all that much smaller then an Allison V12. My grandfather had one years ago, got to see pictures of it recently. He overhauled the engine once, had to use a chainfall to take the heads off! Forgot what the power rating was but it had a max RPM of 2000.
