I am going to look at a 2003 Yamaha R6 Limited Edition Black/Red flames tomorrow. It has 4700 miles, never been dropped, 2 owners, Micron High-Mount exhaust, integrated rear signals, flush mount front signals, and all maintenance records. the guy is asking $6000 OBO, but he told me the lowest he'd go is $5500. He has already had 3 offers, one for $5000, one for $5300, and one for $5400. Do you guys think this bike is worth $5500?? :dunno:

yeah, thats high end, I was looking at one NEW a few years back that was $6500

there's a grand worth of accessories on there, so keep that in mind. that's stuff you won't have to buy or install. not saying it's worth a grand above street pricing of the bike if it were stock, but it's gotta account for something :) Miles are good for a 5 year old bike. mine is one year old and only has 1200 less

Yeah, I was thinking it isn't too bad of a deal. I have been looking for nearly 2 months now, and this is the closest thing I have found to what I want, but I wasn't sure if the price is fair....

I look at bikes like cars... if you put after market parts on you eat the cost when you sell. Can always ask him to put it back to stock and make an offer based on the stock bike.

I just put a deposit down on the bike today. We ended up agreeing on $5400. It is one of the cleanes bikes I have EVER SEEN. Hopefully I will get a chance to bring it out to a forum get together. Thanks for your input guys! :quagmire:
