Looking for something for less than a $1000. I've been meaning to get a motorcycle for a couple years now and I think this summer would be a good time to get one.
I'm pretty inexperieced with bikes so I'm gonna need some help.
Help me find one!!

Too bad none of you wanted my Yamaha 650 two years ago. Put in the key, hit the button, and go. Even put new tires on it...
I'll keep my eyes open.

Hey now, those are nice starterbikes!
However if it were me, I'd be looking for a Yamaha Seca II, 650 cc. Those are really good starterbikes.

Here's a GREAT bike for starters! Nice and light, the Bandit is known as a cult bike for its razor-sharp handling. Many, many Bandits ended up on the club racing circuit. Pick this one up for $1000 and you'll be golden. They dont depreciate much either.

If I did get that, it would have to go to flat black body and frame and flat black wheels too. I'm not too big on red

I looked at it and it was nice. So I put some money down on it. I'm planning on picking it up on tuesday!
I'm pumped.
Do you think thats a good price? Seemed like a pretty good deal to me.

I think it's right in the ballpark. I only base that on selling my '82 650cc for $650. Think I we were asking $750 but a guy showed up with cash and we let him take her. That was 2 years ago and it was a Yamaha, not a Honda.

Yeah, I think that if it's sound and you dont need to do any major maintenance to it, that it's a good price. Most bikes above 500cc, assuming they are running and in decent shape, should sell at $750 or higher.
